Wheels

The starting place for any supermoto conversion is to replace your existing MX/Enduro wheels with 17" rims. A typical set up for the average size machine would be to run a 3.5 inch front rim with a 4.25 inch rear rim which allows you to run a 120 profile front tyre and 150/160 profile rear. Obviously this can (and will!) vary depending on the bike and your requirements. KTM OE wheels start from as low as £259 (front) and £323 (rear), and are available in black and chrome. You can however choose from the very well engineered Talon hubs with a combination of either Morad rims or Excel rims...Very popular and very awesome.

Brakes

Wheels sorted, what next? Brakes. The most popular upgrade is to a 320mm oversize front disc, but that doesn't mean it's the only choice. Larger discs generally require a caliper bracket. EBC have a great value 320mm rotor with a gold centre and matching gold bracket. If it's wavy you're looking for, Braking Products have really come up with the goods with a matching caliper option. KTM provide two excellent choices, either a 310mm round disc with a cool gold anodised centre and matching extended caliper or the incredible wavy version with a 6 pot extended caliper (which don't need extra brackets). Both are the perfect addition to any converted KTM. If you still crave more 'biting power' then upgrading your brake lever and fluid reservoir is the next option.

Sprockets

'Gearing' your new supermoto is vital to getting the best out of the bike and your supermoto set up will be dramatically different to the off road version you already have. There is no golden rule to the right combination of sprockets and so trial and error is the only real answer. We carry a full range of both the JT and Talon front and rear sprockets in stock along with 'O'ring chains to match, so you can choose your weapon and go for it! Decal Kits

Once set up you may wish to change the standard decals to make your bike a real 'one off'. If you're riding an MX or Enduro bike, the world is your oyster with decal kits, number backgrounds and seat covers available from One Industries, Werx, Ceet, Nstyle and Factory Effex to name but a few. Crash Bungs and Bobbins

Supermoto crash bungs and bobbins - exclusive to gear4 for KTMs - will help keep a winning bike in great shape. Available in black and orange, the bobbin kits are made from heavy duty nylon and are one colour throughout (ie scrapes won't discolour them). Including all the necessary fittings such as end-caps and mounting rods to allow quick and easy fitting, the kits are available from stock for all EXC/SX and LC4s from 2003 onwards.
